We Touch Grass is anime themed rave. That emphasizes that anime nerds do in fact touch grass and go outside.

Differences I noticed from 2023

Here are some of the changes I noticed from We Touch Grass 2023 compared to 2024.

• Not as much audience interaction
  • I found that there wasn’t as much audience interaction. There was no audience interactions to determine dumb things like “Who is the best waifu? best character? what’s the better show? settled in funny ways like a beyblade competition, screaming, etc.
  • During my time at this year’s We touch grass from around 9-midnight there was no pause in everything to do a tutorial in socializing which to me was both a funny experience and very fitting for the theme of touching grass.
    • This is one of things I missed the most as I found it to be very funny and kinda helpful
• More people
  • It did feel like there were more people than last year and there were so many more cosplayers from so many different franchises
• Cosplay Catwalk vs Cosplay Competitions
  • I enjoyed the cosplayers being able to walk through the dance flow and be able to play more with their character and the audience over them being confined to the stage last year.
• Dancing
  • So many more people were dancing there were so many more dance circles outside of the dance floor which was fantastic and amazing. You no longer had to fight through a tight dance floor to make it to the dance circle there would just be a group of people that start dancing and the energy continually grew and formed a dance circle. This happened 4ish times for the couple hours I was there.
